According to a recent lawsuit against Joseph Scholten, Jeff Walthen, and Lee White of the Coeur d Alene Police Department, apparently ol’ Joe thinks it’s OK to punch an unconscious guy in the head.

Now the guy that got punched isn’t a shining example of Idaho citizenry, but seriously? You’re going to punch an unconscious guy in the face because you were mad that you had to run a little? Let’s all remember too, this was all because the guy didn’t use his turn signal.

Here’s the crazy part though – Apparently Lee White has been training his officers to act this way. Check out section 3.26 of the lawsuit.

3.26 The CITY OF COEUR D’ALENE, Police Chief LEE WHITE and Sergeant JEFF WALTHEN have engaged in a policy, practice or custom of encouraging and training their police officers to use physical force as a punishment to persons suspected of crimes who flee or otherwise obstruct law enforcement.

You know, we can’t have people out there disrespecting law enforcement officers, so if we sucker punch them in the face while they’re unconscious, surely that will gain the respect of the suspect and the Coeur D Alene Community. Let this be a warning to you Coeur D Alene. Use your damn turn signal…. Or else.
