Apparently, The Boys and Girls Club of Coeur D Alene has a list of their ideal mentors for the children of Kootenai County:

1. Parents
2. Teachers
3. Fire Fighters
4. Puppy Murderers
5. Doctors
6. Police Officers

Well the kids struck the jackpot and the Club checked #4 off the list when Coeur D Alene Police Officer David Kelley made an appearance.

Fast forward a few years and David Kelley is having a great time at the Boys and Girls Club of CDA hugging your children and playing pool with the kids. Now this is real mentor material here!

No doubt the Coeur D Alene Police Department thought to themselves, “Man, Officer Kelley does such a great job with dogs. Let’s try things out with kids! What could go wrong?”
